At PepsiCo Canada, we pride ourselves on attracting and retaining some of the country’s best talent. As such, we're constantly on the look-out for top talent to join our business at all stages of our organization; our co-op programs included. Over the next several weeks, we'll continue to profile our interns in our Keeping Up With the Interns series.
Without further ado, Episode 3!
Going into your co-op, what critical experiences are you looking to obtain?
I'm hoping to get the overall finance experience. My last co-ops were teaching and businesses analysis so this one is a bit different and more in my field. They were both great experiences but being in math, finance is something I see myself doing and more interested in exploring. I'm also hoping to understand the financial side of a large corporation like PepsiCo and seeing if my minor knowledge of finance applies to the work I'm doing.
Tell us a little about you.
I'm a very social person so I love to hang out and be as social as I can. I also love to play soccer and travel. I think traveling is super important because you learn a lot about yourself, others and the world. I'm a foodie and travel really lets you to experience that.
What are you looking forward to most in the next few months?
Overall learning as much as I can so I can make meaningful contributions and excel. Ultimately, I want to create something that will be used after I'm gone. I'm also really looking forward to meeting as many people as I can. Everyone at Pepsico is super great and has a great attitude so I'm excited to book some coffee chats and pick peoples brains.
Fun fact: I've been to the Great Wall of China and the base of Mt. Everest.
